2017 Redesign

Options Layout

With the ongoing 2017 Redesign work, the Options Layout is still being revised.  Although in most of the options sections you will still see things as before, but the Google Mail, Intercom, Xero sections you will notice the changes.

The latest change is that you now see a Feature Image when the feature is turned off.  This gives the idea what the feature does prior to using it.

The Options Layout will continually be revised and will be rolled out across all the options over the next several releases.

NEW Features

Opportunity Record – General Tab – Section Titles Relabelling

You can now relabel the General Tab – Section Titles.  There is a new option in “Infusionsoft – CRM – Opportunity Record – General Tab – Relabel the Opportunity Record Section Titles”.  You just specify the new name to override the existing title.

NOTE: Opportunity Record fields can be relabelled inside Infusionsoft – Admin – Settings – Application – System Labels – Opportunity.  Titles is not supported in Infusionsoft directly.

Opportunity Record – General Tab – Hide Sections – Updates

The Hide Sections feature appeared in a previous release of XtendIn.  This release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: Miscellaneous – You can now hide this section.  It is not always present in an Opportunity Record.
  • FIX: Hiding of the Sections was not always triggered due to different Opportunity Record layouts.  This release fixes this issue as it uses a different placeholder to change things.

Opportunity Stage History Report – Updates

Several new items and fixes have been applied to this report.

  • NEW: Browser Tab now says “Opportunity Stage History”.
  • NEW: Contact Column is now present in the report.  You can click on the Contact Name to open the Record, or hover to get a preview.
  • NEW: Id Column is now present in the report, it relates to the Opportunity Id.
  • NEW: Opportunity Search – New filter option to find selected Opportunity or the Opportunity Title.
  • FIX: Owner Filter – Would not report if more than 1000 Opportunities were found.
  • FIX: Users – Dropdown was not sorting them alphabetically.
  • FIX: Print Button – Stop working due to previous release changes.
  • FIX: API Cache – Mechanism was taking time in specific operations.  The Opportunity code has been revised to not rely heavily on the cache now.  Other problem were fixed as well.

Task – Contact Opportunities

You can now list the Contact Opportunities in the Task popup.  When enabled you will be able to see a list of the opportunities related to the Contact selected.  You can go to the related Opportunity Record by clicking on the “View Record” link.

There is a new “Infusionsoft – Admin – Task” section in XtendIn Options that allow you to show the Contact Opportunities.  In addition there is an option that allows you can close the Task window when the Opportunity Record is selected.

NOTE: This feature just shows the Opportunities, it does NOT let you assign the task to the opportunity.

Tag Categories – Searching

When you go into Infusionsoft – Tag Categories you have no ability to search for a category.  This release introduces two new ways in which you can search and report on the Tag Categories

Infusionsoft have a hidden report in the software which works similar to the how the Tags page works.  When visiting the page you will now see a new link called “Visit the Tag Category List page for Searching and Exporting”.  When clicked on, it will show the hidden Infusionsoft Report.  There seems to be a quick with the New Search button, which does not work.  But if you click on the “Edit Criteria / Columns” button it will allow you to do a search.

The other way you can search for Tag Categories is enabling the new XtendIn option called “Infusionsoft – CRM – Settings – Tag Categories – Show Search (ie: API Search)”.  When enabled a Search box will appear in the Tag Categories.  It does require the API to make it work.

There is also an option called “Open Item when visiting the Page” that will allow you to decide which item to open first, ie: Default Tag Categories, API Search, or the Hidden Report.

Tag Categories – Sorting

You can now sort the Tag Categories when they appear by selecting the “Infusionsoft – CRM – Settings – Tag Categories – Sort Name Column”.

By default Infusionsoft will not have the list sorted in anyway.  You will be able to sort the Name column in Ascending or Descending order.

Tag Categories – Tag Count Column Link

When you visit the Tag Categories section you will now see the “Num Tags” column with links on the numbers.  If you click on the Number it will open the Tags page with the Category already selected.

The feature is on by default, and the option is called “Show Tag Records Link in Number of Tags”.

Campaign Builder – Email Editor – Campaign Links

You can now access the Campaign Links dialog via the Email Editor.  You will see a new menu option called “Campaign Links”.

The XtendIn option can be found here: “Infusionsoft – Marketing – Campaign Builder – Email Editor – how the New Email Menu Actions (Import Legacy Template, Create Blank Email, Create HTML Email, Copy from Campaign, Campaign Links, Campaign Merge Fields)”.

Campaign Builder – Email Editor – Campaign Merge Fields

You can now access the Campaign Merge Fields dialog via the Email Editor.  You will see a new menu option called “Campaign Merge Fields”.

Campaign Builder – Campaign Merge Fields – Copy Shortcode

When you have the Campaign Merge Fields dialog up, you can now click on the Shortcode which will copy it into the Clipboard.  It quickly allows you to paste it into the Email or anywhere else.

Note, the Shortcode column needs to be present for this to work.

The XtendIn option can be found here: “Infusionsoft – Marketing – Campaign Builder – Edit Tab – Merge Fields – Show the Shortcode Column (Click on the Shortcode to copy to the Clipboard)”.
